Fagleg innhald (kortversjon)

Studenten skal gjennom studiet tileigna seg utdjupa kunnskapar om islam som religion. Både historiske tema og aktuelle tema vert fokusert på: Koranen og Korantolking, hadithlitteraturen, islamsk rettsvitskap, og muslimsk rituelt liv, men også islam og kjønn, muslimske rørsler og retningar, og visuelle uttrykk for muslimske trusforestillingar.
